Brokerage Sales Executive Responsibilities
Prospect and secure new truckload clients through daily outreach and cold calling. Develop and maintain relationships with decision-makers across dry van and temperature-controlled freight markets. Generate pricing opportunities and hand off new accounts to internal account managers for ongoing service. Maintain detailed and organized call logs, follow-ups, and CRM activity. Collaborate with operations and account management teams to ensure a smooth transition from prospect to active customer. Work independently and efficiently to achieve and exceed sales goals. Travel as needed to meet with prospects and customers. Experience / Qualifications
2-5 years of experience in an asset-light or non-asset-based freight brokerage, focusing on outside sales. Proven track record of developing new business and growing truckload accounts. Existing book of business in dry van and/or temperature-controlled freight preferred. Strong understanding of full truckload pricing and carrier network operations. Demonstrated ability to generate new opportunities weekly. Clear, measurable impact on gross profit (GP) and gross margin (GM). Ability to articulate sales metrics, industry knowledge, and relationship-building results. A proactive, motivated, and organized approach to business development. Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills. Self-motivated and driven with the ability to work independently. Must not be restricted by a non-compete agreement with a current employer.
