Hours Monday–Friday: 7:00AM–3:30PM Saturday & Sunday: Closed The Payroll Specialist is responsible for processing payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance by reconciling payroll data in a timely manner. The Payroll Specialist must be detail-oriented and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Calculate salaries, deductions, and benefits, and process new hires and terminations. Keep employee data, wage information, and tax documents accurate and organized. Prepare payroll reports, including income tax returns. Resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to employee payroll questions. Ensure payroll complies with tax regulations, labor laws, and company policies. Review payroll data and documents for errors and inefficiencies. Process and issue W-2 forms to employees. Enter garnishments and respond to garnishment notices. Maintain employee confidentiality. Perform other functions assigned by management, as needed. Requirements High school graduate or GED certificate 2+ years’ experience in an accounting-related position Able to communicate and work with cross-functional managers/supervisors Knowledge of accounting and payroll Must have proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Experience with Quickbooks online (preferred) Job Type: Full-time Note: There may be an initial DOT drug test and random DOT drug and alcohol test.
