Overview
Position: Human Resource Coordinator – Enterprise Plant Location: Marietta, SC, US Company: Milliken & Company Milliken & Company is a global manufacturing leader focused on materials science, with applications across textile, flooring, chemical and healthcare businesses. The Human Resource Coordinator supports administrative activities in the HR area at Milliken’s Enterprise Plant in Marietta, SC. Work schedule: Monday – Friday, 1st shift. Responsibilities
Post and maintain job requisitions in the eRecruiting database. Update eRecruiting with candidate statuses, schedule interviews, manage offers, and track acceptances/declinations. Schedule applicants for interviews, substance screening, and reference checks; refer to appropriate personnel for interviews. Coordinate required physicals and tests for candidates as needed. Prepare new hire folders and complete proper paperwork; conduct new hire induction. File unemployment paperwork for associates who are rotated out or laid off; process insurance changes. Maintain files, records, and reports; update associate records/files and plant SPIs related to HR. Maintain random substance abuse testing schedules and the Milliken Retirement Plan (enrollment/separation). Assist with visitors, location communications, and onboarding activities. Process status changes for production associates (promotion, transfer, leave of absence, layoff, separation); conduct criminal background checks. Coordinate Talent Central entries for hires, transfers, promotions, and separations. Maintain insurance files (medical, life, voluntary life, COBRA) and assist with retirement benefits and on-site life insurance enrollment. Assist with service year awards coordination and prepare separation folders for HR Manager approval. Notify associates of garnishments as directed by payroll; purge folders per retention requirements. Coordinate on-site wellness programs and assist with I-9s/E-Verify; provide data retrieval and analysis at period end. Assist with on-site safety program and participate in safety activities. Other duties as assigned by the Human Resource Manager. Qualifications
Ability to speak, write, and read English. Prefer 2-year associate degree, or 4-year bachelor’s degree and/or 3–5 years of relevant HR administrative experience. Ability to read and prepare documents and reports (requisitions, Leave of Absence, insurance, and related office correspondence). Strong communication and interpersonal skills with vendors and the public; professional poise and confidence. Proficient with PC hardware, desktop OS, software applications, HR SAP, and Microsoft Office. Ability to work independently on multiple projects and handle customer visits/requirements; willingness to travel plant-to-plant as needed (some overnight travel). Sitting: ability to sit up to 50% of the day. Standing: ability to stand up to 50% of the day. Moving: ability to move around the plant up to 25% of the day. Lifting: ability to lift at least 35 lbs. without assistance (10% of day). Ascending/Descending: ability to walk stairs or ladders as needed (10% of day). Bending: ability to bend or stoop (10% of day). Visual Acuity: ability to read printed materials and computer screens (as required). Cognitive: ability to make decisions, reason, and understand information (as required).
