This role leads the development and management of volunteer services and people development at Southland Christian Church, focusing on recruiting, onboarding, talent management, volunteer engagement, and alignment with the church's mission. The Refuge Clinic program and related volunteer activities are part of the scope. Responsibilities

Develop and implement strategies to support the overall volunteer services objectives, including recruitment, onboarding, talent management, and volunteer engagement. Work closely with executive leadership to align people services and volunteer engagement strategies with the overall organizational vision and mission. Establish and maintain policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Equip and support staff department leaders to facilitate volunteer relations in their departments through continuous relationship-building, ensuring that volunteers are appropriately matched to roles that suit their skills and interests and provide proper training and development in that role. Collaborate with department leaders to identify staffing needs and oversee the onboarding process. Provide guidance and support to department leaders regarding volunteer relations, performance management, and conflict resolution. Oversee day-to-day administrative operations, including office management, supplies, and equipment. Serve as supervisor to the staff positions of Office Coordinator and Administrative Services Coordinator and provide guidance and support to ensure their productivity and professional growth. Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development through training programs and initiatives, in conjunction with the Director of Operations. Coordinate with students and interns; connect them to the mission of the clinic and facilitate a relationship with their staff supervisor to ensure a meaningful experience. Facilitate volunteer appreciation through annual events, ongoing support, and individual recognition. Create and implement programs to equip and encourage Refuge Clinic patients to serve within the clinic and/or its partner organizations. Qualifications and Personal Attributes

Personal relationship with Christ, actively serving and spiritually accountable to the church community. Highly relational with the ability to connect people into roles that are the best fit based on their skill set and personality. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage and inspire diverse groups of individuals. Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously. Passion for creating a positive work culture and engaging volunteers in meaningful experiences.
