Job Summary

Coordinates the operational activities associated with the Gut Microbiome, Sleep and Cognition Study including but not limited to tracking budget, assisting with study recruitment, participant screening and data collection, regulatory compliance, and distribution of incentives.

Tracks budgets and resources to assure efforts are in compliance with project/study guidelines.

Assists with the coordination of all protocol and procedure training sessions.

Assists with regulatory compliance issues such as tracking and recording protocol-specific certifications and procedure certifications such as Human Subject Protection and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and record Institutional Review Board approvals, etc.

Ensures specifications and source documentation are obtained for all studies from external organizations

Ensures statistical and data management reports are generated and distributed in a timely manner.

Schedules, coordinates, and conducts training sessions about the study.

Develops, designs, and coordinates production and distribution of recruitment materials.

Assists with updating the manual of operations (SOP), data collection forms and websites associated with study.

Coordinates data collection activities and schedule follow-up study visits and calls.

Coordinates meetings, phone conferences, minutes, and presentations for multiple projects/studies.

Coordinates project documentation such as conflict of interest and copyright forms for manuscript submissions.

Coordinates and assist with regulatory reports.

Serves as custodian of participant incentives.

Serves as liaison with internal departments and external entities.

Performs data collection and data entry.

Assists in writing scientific papers for publication.

Assists with preparation and submission of grants.

May supervise lower-level staff.

Assists participants with completing data collection instruments.

Recruits and screens participants

Requests medical records and coordinate data abstraction of medical records (pertinent diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment).

Works with Environmental Health and Safety to ensure that all facilities used are in compliance with all applicable regulations. Maintains copies of any applicable facility audits and equipment inspection/service reports.

Pick-up and drop-off of study materials at participant houses (mileage reimbursed)

Participates in weekly research team meetings.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of office or related experience.

Desired Qualifications Master's degree in a related field preferred

Bilingual (Spanish/English)

CITI certification (social/behavioral) involving human subjects and health privacy. Must be completed within first week.

Advanced literature search and writing experience.

Data analysis experience preferred.
