Education and Experience

Minimum of five (5) years of experience working in the real estate law section of a mid-size or large law firm. Duties and Responsibilities Manage a moderate caseload of residential and/or commercial real estate closings (approximately 25–30) from contract to closing. Order title searches, lien searches, surveys, estoppel letters, and zoning documents (as applicable). Prepare preliminary Closing Disclosures (CDs) and Closing Statements; liaise with buyer’s lenders as needed. Communicate with clients to resolve title, lien, estoppel, and survey issues; ensure all processing duties are completed to achieve timely closings. Calculate and track critical dates, proactively requesting extensions when necessary. Prepare closing packages and ensure organized, timely execution. Balance closing statements and coordinate lender funding. Perform electronic recordings, issue title policies, and distribute all relevant documents to parties promptly. Draft commercial real estate documents, ***** Purchase and sale agreements Seller’s documents (deeds, bills of sale, affidavits, company resolutions) Purchaser’s documents (promissory notes, mortgages, closing documents) Loan documents for financial institutions (notes, mortgages, assignments of leases, closing statements) Review titles, surveys, and prepare title commitments and policies. Draft estoppel letters, obtain and review payoffs, and manage pre- and post-closing matters. Order and review all appropriate lien searches to ensure accuracy and compliance.
