Overview Vancrew Technologies is a growing IT services company that specializes in supporting healthcare and medical offices with secure, compliant, and reliable technology. Our clients include clinics, diagnostic labs, and private practices, and we pride ourselves on delivering high-quality, responsive service. We’re now looking for an IT Support & Installation Specialist to help us implement and support systems in the field with minimal supervision. Position Summary In this field-based role, you’ll handle on-site installations, upgrades, and support for IT infrastructure, networking equipment, and healthcare-specific technology. You’ll often be the lead technician on-site, so you must be comfortable working independently, communicating clearly with clients, and troubleshooting in real time. This role is ideal for someone who has experience doing hands-on IT work (installing firewalls, setting up servers, working with EMR software, etc.) and enjoys seeing a project through from start to finish. Key Responsibilities Install, configure, and support: Network infrastructure: routers, switches, firewalls, cabling Servers and systems: Windows Server, Active Directory, backups, virtualization Medical systems: EMRs/EHRs, imaging systems, dental/medical software Perform on-site support and act as the technical lead for client installations and upgrades Conduct site assessments before installation and validate setup with testing afterward Configure all systems in line with HIPAA and security best practices Collaborate with clients and internal team to ensure successful rollout of solutions Document work clearly in ticketing systems and maintain client-specific notes Provide on-site and remote training to healthcare staff as needed Qualifications 4+ years of hands-on IT support or field service experience (Experience with healthcare clients is a major plus) Strong knowledge of: Networking: TCP/IP, firewalls, VPNs, VLANs (Cisco and Ubiquiti experience preferred) Servers: Windows Server, Active Directory, Hyper-V or VMware EMRs or dental/medical systems like Open Dental, eClinicalWorks, Eaglesoft, PACS, or imaging devices is a plus Comfort working in live environments (medical offices, dental clinics, etc.) Must be self-directed, organized, and professional on-site with clients Ability to lift, run cables, mount equipment, and travel between client sites Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required Excellent communication and customer service skills Seniority level Mid-Senior level Employment type Contract Job function Information Technology Industries: IT Services and IT Consulting Get notified about new Information Technology Support Specialist jobs in Knoxville, TN. #J-18808-Ljbffr
