Dental Assistant – Sundome Crossing Dental Care is looking for a Dental Assistant to join our team.

We are a collaborative, community-focused 8‑person team offering a full‑time schedule: Monday–Thursday 7:30–5:00 with occasional Friday mornings; no weekends. Competitive pay based on experience and certifications. Our location is 19221 R. H. Johnson Blvd., Sun City West, Arizona 85375.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and welcome patients from the start of their dental journey, sustain patient comfort, and provide education throughout treatment
  • Conduct a thorough review of the patient’s health history to support quality care
  • Take and process x-rays and other diagnostic assessments (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography, etc.)
  • Provide superior chairside assistance (four-handed dentistry) to supported dentists during a wide variety of procedures in accordance with the state dental practice act
  • Utilize Dentrix for patient scheduling and record keeping
  • Prepare treatment rooms with strict adherence to safety protocols and follow OSHA & CDC recommendations
  • Manage supply and inventory levels, and place/expedite orders as needed
  • Partner with providers and team to implement Heartland Dental systems and maximize office workflow

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience as a dental assistant required
  • Dentrix or other dental software experience
  • Dental assisting school certification and RHS certification in AZ required
  • Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology
  • Experience in fast-paced, customer-centric environments
  • Experience with iTero and Dexis
  • Hands-on knowledge of implants and ability to make temps
  • Must bring leadership skills and ability to lead and encourage office case acceptance
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Access to minimum PHI necessary for job functions; regular HIPAA training will be required; protect PHI and maintain data safeguards

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting and standing
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds
  • Availability to attend virtual or in-person training sessions periodically throughout the year
  • A tuberculosis (TB) test is required for all new hires in dental office positions and must be completed prior to starting employment; test arranged during pre-employment process
