Reports To: Assistant Director of Teaching and Learning

Department: Teaching and Learning
Employment Type: Temporary
Salary: $29.00 per hour
Hours: 1 to 2 hours per day, not to exceed 8 hours with current position total
Days per Year: Varies; 1-4 days per week though the school day

Responsibilities
- Provide after-school academic support for interested Native students in ELA and Math.
- Work with students in their own building, meeting for two hours per week on days determined by the Paraeducator and family.
- Maintain and enhance a sense of belonging and success for traditionally marginalized populations.
- Cultivate inclusive and equitable relationships with students, families, staff, and community members.
- Demonstrate understanding of and celebrate diverse cultures; promote an inclusive learning environment.
Qualifications and Competencies
- School experience
- Ability to work with SKSD staff and communicate effectively
- Demonstrated teamwork, customer service, interpersonal and communication skills
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division); Pre-Algebra and Algebra knowledge
- Ability to work independently and follow district policies and professional expectations
- Commitment to a safe, harassment-free learning environment
- Physical and attendance requirements as described in district documents
