The Regional Director of Operations (ROD) is a high-impact leadership role responsible for overseeing the performance, clinical outcomes, operational efficiency, and culture of 10-15 outpatient dialysis clinics in the region. This individual will directly manage Facility Administrators and clinical leaders , with full accountability for a $30M-$50M P&L . The ROD ensures safe, compliant, and high-quality patient care while inspiring and developing a strong team culture.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
  • Own full P&L responsibility for 10-15 clinics across a regional territory.
  • Ensure compliance with DaVita and regulatory standards (CMS, state, and federal).
  • Drive clinical performance, patient outcomes, and service excellence.
Team & Leadership Development
  • Directly lead and develop 10-12 Facility Administrators and clinical leaders.
  • Foster a positive teammate culture rooted in DaVita's values.
  • Mentor and support leadership growth across all levels of your region.
Strategic Planning & Execution
  • Use data analytics and reporting tools (Excel, PowerPoint, internal dashboards) to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities.
  • Present performance outcomes and improvement strategies to senior leadership.
  • Lead growth initiatives, census expansion, and operational conversions from acquisitions.
Clinical & Physician Partnership
  • Collaborate with Medical Directors to support clinical excellence and compliance.
  • Drive initiatives to improve patient outcomes, safety metrics, and satisfaction.
Non-Negotiable Requirements
  • Proven experience in multi-site operations leadership within healthcare or similar industry.
  • Demonstrated experience managing managers and leaders, not just individual contributors.
  • Strong executive presence and experience presenting to senior leaders using data, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Bachelor's degree required (MBA preferred).
Nice-to-Have Skills
  • MBA or advanced degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field.
  • Experience in kidney care, dialysis, or other regulated healthcare environments.
  • Experience with mergers, acquisitions, and rapid regional expansion.
