We are seeking a licensed mid-level Structural Engineer with design-build and infrastructure experience to join our growing team. Ideal candidates are independent thinkers, self-motivated, communicate proactively, and enjoy collaborating with other disciplines throughout the design process. Principle Areas of Responsibility
Develop plans and details for foundations, buildings, and structures based on preliminary concepts, sketches, calculations, or verbal instructions. Understand the process of preparing designs and drawings using project specifications and written and verbal instructions in accordance with established design practices, standards, and procedures. Develop structural models and project drawings using Revit and AutoCAD software. Familiar with structural steel, reinforced concrete, and masonry drafting conventions. Prepare schedule and detail drawings and enter equipment specifications. Understand the scope of SD, DD, and CD level documents and deliver drawings at the appropriate level. Research product information to assist designers in the selection and specification of architectural materials, products, and equipment. Conduct site surveys and create accurate existing condition documents. Oversee and/or conduct existing condition surveys of structural systems to determine engineering strategies for renovation and to document and evaluate existing systems. Perform structural assessment of existing buildings based on historical documents. Assist the Marketing Team with solicitations. Required Qualifications
Bachelor of Science (required) and Master of Science in Civil/Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited university. Active PE license in any state required; SE license preferred. 8-12 years of experience. Familiarity with Whole Building Design Guide, Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC) and Unified Facilities Guide Specifications (UFGS). Proficient with building and design codes (IBC, ASCE, ACI, AISC, etc.). Experience with structural systems, including but not limited to design of steel, reinforced concrete, masonry, cold-formed and PEMB structures, and general construction practices. Proficient in structural analysis software (RISA/CSI/Bentley). Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively on multiple projects. Self-motivated, detail-oriented, client-focused, and a positive team player. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Comfortable with public speaking and able to present to technical or non-technical audiences. Ability to travel for projects, including international travel. U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain a security clearance. Proficiency with REVIT is highly desired. Excellent safety awareness. Salary
This position has an annual salary range of $94,500 to $113,200. Actual compensation is based on factors such as skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and work location. More About Us
