MEPF Superintendent
for our

We Own It! Responsibilities
Operations manager to review projects with MEPF team and determine level of MEPF oversight for each project Project should not require any/much MEPF team interaction Project will require some advisory interaction from MEPF team Project will require an onsite MEPF visit monthly or bi-monthly Project will require an onsite 1-3 day a week MEPF representative Project will require an onsite full time MEPF representative Project will require an onsite full time MEPF group Once an MEPF superintendent is assigned to a project; investigation is required for ANY level of project assigned by Ops Manager to MEPF superintendent Review all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection documents (drawings and specs) making notes on irregularities, contradictions, and items for clarification Understand there are changing levels of contract documents. Review changes from version to version. (e.g., 50% dd to 90% dd) Give notes to project team for inclusion in constructability review questions/RFI’s Follow up to verify that issues list is being addressed Create excel project equipment list as shown on most current contract documents and verify equipment is included Get schedule for jobsite weekly meetings Review spec related equipment issues with ACLP PM’s and subcontractor PM’s Review all drawings for BAS related notes Subcontractor page turn Meet with designated sub project manager as well as field supervisor Review specs, then details, then risers, then schedules, then plan Have subs note all unusual or conflicting items and turn into email clarification or RFI Have separate meeting with prime subs and their larger 3rd party subs Mechanical to BAS controls contractor Electrical to fire alarm contractor VDC and BIM will need your guidance Get with ACLP BIM/VDC coordinators early during design phase Assist subcontractors with construction plans Equipment loading plan Flush plans Temp power plans Temp air plans Testing plan Damper testing log Start up plan Shut-down log/Utility outages Commissioning plan Begin TAB/START UP/COMMISSIONING conversations Meet with commissioning agent and verify software preferred and expectations Meet with TAB contractor and create a plan that suits schedule/divisions in the building Meet with subcontractors SU/CX representatives Drive subcontractors toward schedule completion with final integrated systems in mind Search for scope gaps and FILL THEM Work with QA/QC team to verify items are closed out before real start up can begin Review project schedules with subs early and throughout the project Continually review contract documents and manufacturers information with subs Drive ACLP team toward schedule completion with final integrated systems in mind Review project schedules with team members early and throughout the project Continue to look for holes and gaps that are not seen by our general team and the overall schedule Coordinate everyone involved in providing a final integrated system as designed Translate between owner, EOR, ACLP, and subs to remove any doubt as to direction of the ship and guide all parties to the proper end Requirements
Construction/install experience in the electrical field Experience setting and energizing electrical gear and components Field/Labor management of electrical contractor Experience installing emergency power system Experience with Fire alarm and low voltage Experience with power monitoring systems Experience with lighting control Benefits & Compensation
