Auria is looking to hire an
X-Lab Software Engineer
to support the Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program. This role is onsite at Schriever Space Force Base in Colorado Springs, CO, and plays a critical role in supporting the U.S. President, the Secretary of Defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels. The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program is a crucial part of the Missile Defense System. It provides an operational platform that allows the U.S. president, the secretary of defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and tactical levels to plan missile defense operations, monitor battle progress, and actively control networked sensors and weapon systems to meet global and regional mission objectives. C2BMC offers a layered missile defense capability, delivering an optimized response to threats across all ranges and flight phases. It connects, integrates, and synchronizes autonomous sensor and weapon systems and operations worldwide and locally to enhance performance. It is a key component of all ground and flight tests that verify and demonstrate the missile defense system\'s capabilities. The C2BMC X-Lab provides a fast-paced, dynamic environment tasked with developing and integrating future-capability prototypes for the Missile Defense System, including Sensor/Weapon Integration, Algorithm Development, and User Interface Development. The Software Engineer\'s primary role is to serve as a mid-level team member, focusing on developing and testing innovative solutions for X-Lab projects and experiments. Essential Functions
Will work full-time, on-site at the Missile Defense Integration and Operations Center (MDIOC) on Schriever Space Force Base, CO; this is not a remote position. Non-standard work hours are likely during event execution Have a good understanding of Agile software development processes and principles, and be able to communicate the desired capabilities to a diverse group of developers, engineers, subject matter experts, and system users Be comfortable with rapidly changing requirements, design challenges that require novel solutions in fast-paced activities, and tight deadlines The team requirements
Mission-Driven Professional: Collaborative contributor motivated by the opportunity to develop cutting-edge solutions that protect and serve both the nation and the world Bachelor\'s Degree in a STEM discipline preferred from an accredited university and 5 years of related experience, or a Master\'s in a STEM discipline and 3 years of experience, or a PhD and 1 year of experience, or 9 years of related experience in lieu of a degree may be considered Active DoD-issued Secret clearance at the time of application, with ability to obtain TS/SCI Active DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (e.g., Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA) Willingness and ability to travel up to 10% to support business needs Experience with Java and Spring Framework Experience in a Linux environment Experience with software testing and analysis tools Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills Team preferences
Current, active DoD-issued Top Secret clearance with eligibility for SCI is highly preferred Experience developing and integrating future-capability prototypes for the Missile Defense System, including Sensor/Weapon Integration, Algorithm Development, and User Interface development Demonstrable skills in full-cycle software engineering, basic Systems Engineering knowledge to inform software design, Java development, object-oriented development principles and pattern testing, and creating detailed, repeatable tests Pay transparency
The salary offered will be based on the selected candidate\'s qualifications, skills, education, and experience. Position level: $106,000 - $117,000. Application deadline
