This role is based at our Salt Lake City, UT headquarters and requires an on-site presence at least 4 days per week, Monday through Friday.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Leads the administration for Maverik’s annual survey and benchmark review. Prepares data for compensation surveys; conduct market pricing activities, including analysis of market pay, analysis of internal/external compensation, market and hiring trends.
Owns the MarketPay system including maintenance of job matches, survey library, annual migration, integrations, and data integrity.
Leads the survey submission process by researching potential surveys, proposing the participation schedule/survey budget, and preparing the submissions.
Evaluates new and revised positions and recommends appropriate salary grade/range of jobs by using salary administration policies and evaluation criteria. Conducts job evaluation activities including job audits, determining correct classifications. Ensures accurate FLSA exemption designation.
Monitors internal equity pay issues to maintain fair pay practices by analyzing incumbent job levels and salaries.
Reviews, evaluates, interprets, and ensures compensation programs comply with laws, rules, and policy/procedures. Updates documents on HR policies and procedures related to compensation.
Develops and recommends salary range information for new and existing associates. Prepare data and rollout compensation statements. Evaluates and calculates cost of proposed salary increases based on FTE budget.
Supports anniversary and annual merit and incentive processes.
Provides system support by processing compensation changes, and one-time payments.
Prepares and analyzes compensation reports for business stakeholders, People and Leadership.
Recommends, builds, and continuously improves compensation dashboards and reporting.
Qualifications Education
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Finance, or related field, preferred
Certified Compensation Professional (CCP), preferred
Experience
1+ years human resources experience
1+ years of direct compensation experience; specifically, with salary administration, preferred
Experience supporting diversified compensation activities or HR systems
Strong attention to detail
Team Member Competencies
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, including strong listening skills
Ability to operate independently without the need for continuous oversight or direction
Proven ability to effectively prioritize and balance competing needs
History of taking the initiative to identify and solve work-related problems
Experience in exercising initiative and sound judgment in decision-making
Compensation & Benefits Pay Range:
$59,000-$65,000 + DOE + Bonus Opportunity
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Maverik considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers, such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions.
