We are seeking a Sr. Payroll, Absence & Time Tracking Functional Consultant - Workday Success Plans to join Workday.
About The Team The Workday Success Plans Delivery Team at Workday plays a crucial role in ensuring customers maximize the value they get from their Workday products. The team focuses on customers’ post go-live journey, delivering a variety of programs and services to support growing and changing business needs within Workday.
About The Role We are seeking people who love to help customers overcome HR technology challenges and who feel rewarded by driving high levels of customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate helps people understand tough concepts and facilitates collaboration on effective solutions. The focus is on helping customers get the most value from their Workday investment through the delivery of innovative services.
Responsibilities
Our team members:
Confidently and consistently provide excellent customer service
Engage customers to quickly understand business requirements
Share their broad experience with industry practices
Adapt and succeed independently in challenging situations
Develop and demonstrate system configuration solutions, articulating product capabilities, plus the benefits and risks of design decisions
Support multiple customers concurrently on short duration projects
Help customers become more self-sufficient, stabilize and optimize their Workday applications, and learn about new features
Collaborate as a highly productive team and share expertise with customers on Ask-an-Expert requests
Contribute to customer engagements with:
Feature Adoption Workshops (facilitate Workday feature roadmap discussions)
Functional Reviews (Tenant Review with Consulting Services)
Health Checks (Tenant Review with Cross Functional Consulting Services)
Deliver additional services such as:
Collaboration Crews (facilitate group customer sharing discussions)
Accelerator Webinars (create and deliver customer presentations on Workday features)
Feature Accelerator (one-on-one consulting guidance to accelerate feature adoption)
Feature Adoption Tenant Reviews (reviewing tenants to identify adoption opportunities)
Qualifications Basic Qualifications - Senior Functional Consultant - Payroll/Absence/Time Tracking
5+ years of Human Capital Management software and consulting experience on medium or large enterprise HRIS projects, or applicable practitioner deployment experience
5+ years of experience with Payroll, Absence, Time Tracking
3+ years of Workday Consulting experience or experience as a Workday SME
Other Qualifications
Solid grasp of HR-related systems and processes; ability to understand Workday concepts and new feature releases in Core HCM, areas of expertise, and cross-application features
Certified or ability to certify in Workday HCM products and effectively deploy solutions
Experience influencing, interacting with, and collaborating with senior leaders
Ability to lead and influence design meetings toward collaborative outcomes
Ability to deliver results while managing to a project plan
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience with global implementations is preferred
Ability to work on multiple engagements simultaneously
Strong critical thinking skills to understand complex, technical process issues and facilitate decision making
Bachelor’s degree or related experience
Ability to travel up to 10%
Workday Pay Transparency Statement The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below. Pay ranges vary based on work location. This role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or other incentives, as well as annual stock grants. Compensation offers are based on geography, experience, skills, duties, and business need. Primary Location: USA. IL, Chicago
Primary Location Base Pay Range: $122,800 - $184,200 USD
Additional US Location(s) Base Pay Range: $111,100 - $197,300 USD
Additional Considerations: In Colorado, pay range is $116,900 - $175,400 USD.
Our Approach to Flexible Work With Flex Work, we combine in-person time and remote work. We expect teams to spend at least half (50%) of their time each quarter in the office or in the field with customers, prospects, and partners (depending on role). Remote roles may have opportunities to come together in offices for important moments.
