We are seeking a Senior Tax Accountant II who can coordinate the tax matters with our external tax firm. The Senior Tax Accountant II will play a key role in managing the Company’s tax planning, compliance and income tax provision, which in itself is complex given our Up-C structure. While primarily focusing on federal, state and local tax matters, this position will have broad exposure to all areas of taxes and be involved in planning projects to support the rapid growth of the Company. You will work closely with the CFO and partner heavily with other leaders within the Finance and Legal functions.

The impact you'll make

Manage the preparation and review of the annual and quarterly income tax provision calculation and all relevant SEC financial statement disclosures

Manage the preparation and review the Company’s quarterly effective tax rate forecast, and modeling

Manage tax obligations for partnerships, LLCs, and entities utilizing Up-C structures, ensuring accurate allocation of income, deductions, and credits in accordance with partnership agreements

Manage the Company’s federal, state and local tax compliance, including leading the coordination of internal teams and third-party advisors to ensure timely and accurate filing of the required compliance

Review for accuracy partnership tax returns (Form 1065) prepared by tax consultants and related schedules (e.g., Schedule K-1)

Prepare and/or review the quarterly estimated tax payments and extensions

Coordinate Federal and state tax inquiries including examinations and audits with taxing authorities

Manage the process of identifying, analyzing, and documenting uncertain tax positions

Perform tax research, proactively monitor legislative change, analyze, and communicate the related impact to the Company

Effectively collaborate cross-functionally within the organization

Drive continuous improvements of process and procedures via the use of technology solutions; and,

Maintain and refine tax policies and procedures to ensure compliance with Sarbanes Oxley Act requirements

What you've accomplished

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent is required

3+ years of corporate and partnership income tax experience in private or public industry

In-depth knowledge and experience in US GAAP and tax accounting (ASC 740)

Ability to conduct research using various resources and effectively communicate results

Must be detail-oriented and have ability to multi-task

Strong organization and project management skills

Effective written and verbal communication skills

Master’s degree in Taxation or CPA preferred

In-house public company experience preferred

Strong technical and analytical skills with a solution-oriented mindset

Experience with tax provision software a plus

The base pay range for this position is $101,496.00 - $121,000.00 per year
