Senior Tax Accountant II – 4 days onsite per week Overview We are seeking a Senior Tax Accountant II who will coordinate tax matters with our external tax firm. The role plays a key part in managing the Company’s tax planning, compliance, and income tax provision, particularly within our Up‑C structure. The candidate will focus on federal, state, and local tax matters, support planning projects, and partner closely with CFO, Finance, and Legal teams.
Responsibilities
Prepare and review the annual and quarterly income tax provision calculations and related SEC financial statement disclosures.
Prepare and review quarterly effective tax rate forecasts and modeling.
Manage tax obligations for partnerships, LLCs, and entities using Up‑C structures, ensuring accurate allocation of income, deductions, and credits.
Oversee the Company’s federal, state, and local tax compliance, coordinating internal teams and third‑party advisors for timely filings.
Review partnership tax returns (Form 1065) and related schedules prepared by tax consultants.
Prepare and review quarterly estimated tax payments and extensions.
Coordinate federal and state tax inquiries, including examinations and audits.
Identify, analyze, and document uncertain tax positions.
Conduct tax research, monitor legislative changes, analyze impacts, and communicate findings.
Collaborate cross‑functionally within the organization.
Drive continuous process improvements through technology solutions.
Maintain and refine tax policies and procedures to ensure compliance with Sarb‑Oxley Act requirements.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent is required.
3+ years of corporate and partnership income tax experience in private or public industry.
In‑depth knowledge of US GAAP and tax accounting (ASC 740).
Strong research skills and the ability to effectively communicate results.
Detail‑oriented with strong multi‑tasking capabilities.
Excellent organization, project management, and written/judicial communication skills.
Bonus Points
Master’s degree in Taxation or CPA preferred.
In‑house public company experience preferred.
Strong technical and analytical skills.
Experience with tax provision software is a plus.
Base Pay $101,496.00 – $121,000.00 per year
