ABOUT THE PARTNERSHIP WITH THE LATINO COMMUNITY FOUNDATION The Latino Community Foundation (LCF) is on a mission to unleash the civic and economic power of Latinos. LCF has the largest network of Latino philanthropists in the country and has raised $100 million to build Latino civic and economic power. It is the only statewide foundation solely focused on investing in Latino youth and families in California. In 2024, former Housing and Urban Development Secretary Julián Castro became CEO of LCF. initiative to support capacity building of and coordination among nonprofits in the Imperial Valley region. With over 85% of the Imperial Valley's population being Latino and with Spanish as the predominant non-English language, there is a significant need to engage a community that has historically been excluded from local, regional, and state decision-making. LCF is committed to connecting with Latino and Spanish-speaking communities in the Imperial Valley region and working with the community-based organizations (CBOs) that serve them, to ensure investments and growth in the region provide community benefits that residents need and deserve. ABOUT THE POSITION IV Equity seeks a collaborative, strategic, and passionate leader to work with CBOs and community stakeholders to strengthen the civic ecosystem in the Imperial Valley region. By helping to grow the capacity and role of CBOs and nonprofits, the Manager will support the very partners that can ensure the Imperial Valley region benefits from equitable investments, inclusive growth, and environmental justice. The Manager will be employed by Imperial Valley Equity and Justice, Inc. and will work with the Latino Community Foundation, partner organizations, and other community leaders. The position is based in Calipatria, California in Imperial County. This position will offer meaningful opportunities for in-person and in-community engagement and will allow for teleworking as practicable. Key Responsibilities

Participate in and contribute to Activate Imperial meetings with the Latino Community Foundation, the Activate Imperial Steering Committee, and other community stakeholders. Support a community visioning process to ensure that the community’s voice is central to the development of an ambitious long-term vision for Imperial Valley’s prosperous and thriving future. Support coordination across organizations, including support for timely events, tours, and convenings that support these goals; and Support data collection and communication efforts that amplify the voice of residents and the work of Activate Imperial to highlight the role and impact of CBOs and nonprofits to the region. Lead and assist with grant writing and development efforts to help secure funding for the region, such as federal, state, local, and philanthropic grants; and Coordinate, convene, and collaborate with community-based organizations, nonprofits, and local governments serving the region. Qualifications

Experience:

Background in community organizing, economic development, grant writing, philanthropy, community development, environmental justice, or related fields. Experience working with nonprofits and/or governments is highly desired. Experience working with diverse populations, including marginalized communities, and an understanding of cultural humility and equity. Education:

Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent hands-on experience in economic development, grant writing, philanthropy, community development, environmental justice, or related fields. Communication:

Strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to communicate well with diverse audiences, including nonprofit leaders, government officials, and the general public. Project Management:

Ability to prioritize, communicate needs, and lead with a solutions-oriented mindset. Experience with project management is preferred. Language:

Bilingual in Spanish (written, oral) is preferred, but not necessary. Teamwork/Integrity:

$75,000 - $90,000 depending on experience, plus benefits package including employee sponsored health, dental, and vision insurance, paid holidays and time off. Schedule
