This Senior Account Executive role is a full-time position working across our portfolio of clients based out of FINN’s New York office.

Job Summary

This position on Finn Partners’ Purpose & Social Impact team provides an opportunity to work on social impact and sustainability campaigns for major corporations, non-profits and global foundations and advance social good through integrated communications and marketing. The ideal candidate will have a strong media relations background and experience in the sustainability or CSR space. As a Senior Account Executive, you will be a key member of our tight-knit, collaborative and highly motivated team engaged in a range of assignments spanning earned media relations, publicity-driven events and account management/reporting. You will actively contribute to the quality work and media outcomes we generate daily for an array of clients.

Specific responsibilities will include intensive media pitching; securing consistent media coverage across a wide range of sustainability, business, environmental trade, consumer, and news publications; building and maintaining strong relationships with press and executive client contacts; developing assets (Press Releases, Pitches, Fact Sheets, Media Briefings, etc.) that will pique media interest; administering and reporting for clients; and actively participating in team brainstorms and staff meetings. You will also contribute to thought leadership strategy/writing; new business presentations; and assist with client management/counsel. The candidate should have strong media contacts and a proven track record securing national media placements, experience in client relations, excellent writing skills, and strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Intensive media pitching and securing coverage across publications in sustainability, business, environmental trade, consumer, and news outlets. Build and maintain relationships with press and executive client contacts. Develop assets (Press Releases, Pitches, Fact Sheets, Media Briefings, etc.) to engage media. Administer and report for clients; participate in team brainstorms and staff meetings. Contribute to thought leadership strategy and writing; assist with new business presentations and client management/counsel. Utilize existing media contacts and demonstrate a proven track record with national media placements.

Skills Required

Media relations and proven ability to secure media placements. Excellent oral and written communications skills. Strong interpersonal and client service skills. Experience working in a fast-paced agency environment. Ability to balance multiple clients and deadlines. Solid understanding of CSR and the broader sustainability landscape; ability to develop opportunistic client storyline recommendations and communication strategies.
