Our Business Development teams play a critical role in expanding Gartner’s presence across the global market. Gartner Business Development Executives strategically acquire new clients by cultivating trust-based relationships with C-level executives to understand their mission-critical priorities and uncover opportunities to deliver client value through their industry lens. They drive the full sales cycle, from prospecting to closing and transitioning new accounts to the account management team. Our teams focus on building trust-based, value-added relationships, delivering long-term client value, and growing their book of business. While results-driven, they collaborate closely with account management to ensure an exceptional client experience. Business Development Executives are assigned a territory of Large-Enterprise prospects, which may include new prospects with no prior spend or existing clients within other Gartner areas. Clients typically have >$1 billion in annual revenue. Responsibilities:

Identify and pursue new business opportunities within your territory, from initial outreach to closing, targeting Large Enterprise organizations. Convert prospects into active Gartner clients, managing the entire sales process and negotiations, and transitioning new clients to the account management team. Maintain a pipeline of high-quality opportunities to meet sales metrics and KPIs. Manage a quota for your assigned territory. Handle complex, high-revenue sales across diverse environments. Forecast and plan accounts on a regular basis. Qualifications:

5+ years of B2B sales experience, preferably in complex, intangible sales environments. Experience in business development or new-client acquisition is highly desirable. Proven ability to influence C-level executives. Track record of meeting/exceeding sales targets. Strong skills in managing and forecasting complex sales processes. Willingness to travel as needed.
