Senior Software Engineer – Cloud & DevSecOps (Remote | DoD | Top Secret) Location: Remote (within ~120 miles of Charlottesville, VA) • Clearance: Active Top Secret (SCI Eligible) What You’ll Own
Lead the design and implementation of secure, scalable, multi-classification cloud architectures. Define and execute Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) strategies using Crossplane, Terraform, and other automation tools. Build and maintain DevSecOps pipelines for continuous integration, delivery, and deployment. Optimize core networking, load balancing, DNS, and platform services for mission-critical cloud applications. Collaborate with stakeholders to streamline RMF and cyber authorization processes. Mentor and guide engineers, sharing SME-level expertise in cloud engineering, Crossplane, automation, and secure software development. What You Bring To The Team
10+ years of software engineering or DevSecOps experience. Proficiency in multiple languages: Java, JavaScript, Python, Bash, C/C++, C#, YAML, JSON, XML, or similar. IAT Level II baseline and Security+ (or equivalent) certification. Hands-on experience with Linux systems, CLI tools, networking, and cloud platforms. Proven experience with Crossplane to deploy and manage multi-cloud infrastructure. Experience with Terraform, Vault/Secrets Manager, PaaS technologies, and CI/CD pipelines.
