Aquinas Consulting is currently looking to fill a HYBRID Tier 3 Engineer / Project Engineer job for a direct client in East Hartford, CT seeking to expand their in-house team of IT professionals. In this senior-level technical role, you will lead complex infrastructure projects, act as the final escalation point for technical issues, and mentor internal staff. This position requires deep expertise in cloud and on-premises environments, with a strong focus on Microsoft technologies, security solutions, and client communications. Responsibilities
Serve as Tier 3 support and subject matter expert for escalated technical issues Lead cloud migration and infrastructure projects across Microsoft and alternative platforms Implement and manage security solutions including MFA, firewalls, and endpoint protection Provide documentation, SOPs, and knowledge transfer to internal teams and clients Mentor junior engineers and support after-hours incident response as part of a rotating schedule Qualifications
Expert-level knowledge of Windows Server OS (2025 and earlier) and virtualization (Hyper-V, VMware) Strong experience with Microsoft 365, Exchange migrations, OneDrive, SharePoint, and Azure Ability to manage and troubleshoot network infrastructure (firewalls, switches, VLANs, VPNs) Familiarity with MDR/EDR, antivirus, VoIP systems, and modern security tools Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills Ability to lead projects independently and mentor others in a collaborative environment If you are interested in this HYBRID Tier 3 Engineer / Project Engineer job in East Hartford, CT, please apply now to be connected with a member of our team.
