We invite applications for a full-time, tenure track Assistant Professor of Musical Theatre beginning August 2026. The next Assistant Professor of Musical Theatre will have demonstrated excellence in teaching acting to students in undergraduate Musical Theatre programs. Location and Details
West Hartford, CT • Full-Time • Salary: $68,000 - $70,000/year Responsibilities
Teach acting to undergraduate Musical Theatre students in the program. Engage in directing and/or music directing for musical theatre productions as appropriate. Contribute to the development of new works in theatre (preferred). Engage in scholarly and/or creative activities related to teaching and the field as applicable. Qualifications
Master of Fine Arts (MFA), or terminal degree, in Musical Theatre/Performance at the time of appointment; or Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Musical Theatre/Performance with significant national/international professional performing credits as a performer and director in Musical Theatre. Experience and/or interest in developing new works in theatre (preferred). Experience as a director and/or music director in musical theatre (desired). Additional Information
