About the Role:
We’re seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect to lead modernization and cloud transformation initiatives across large-scale enterprise systems.
This role will guide the architecture of mission-critical platforms—integrating applications such as Salesforce, Appian, and Azure—and ensuring alignment with business objectives, security frameworks, and long-term IT strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, publish, and maintain enterprise reference architectures and technology standards.
Lead modernization planning and migration of legacy systems to cloud-native or hybrid architectures.
Architect and oversee integrations with enterprise platforms such as Salesforce, Appian, and Azure.
Design secure, scalable cloud solutions aligned with federal and Commonwealth frameworks.
Collaborate with IT leadership, project managers, and stakeholders to ensure architectural alignment with business goals.
Define and promote data interoperability strategies across multiple systems while maintaining compliance with data protection and retention policies.
Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies to improve service delivery and operational efficiency.
Develop technology roadmaps and ensure they align with strategic priorities and citizen service objectives.
Support architecture governance, reviewing and validating solution architectures for policy compliance.
Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field and 6+ years of professional IT experience, or 10+ years of equivalent IT experience.
Proven experience in:
Application development and modernization
Enterprise reference architecture and technology standards
API design and secure system integrations
Cloud solution architecture (preferably Azure)
Developing and executing technology roadmaps
Translating complex technical concepts into actionable guidance for stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications:
Certifications such as:
TOGAF 9.x
Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
Salesforce Certified Application Architect
Experience in state or federal government environments.
Familiarity with low-code platforms (especially Appian) and Salesforce.
Understanding of geospatial systems or regulatory data standards.
