Overview
Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for Palmetto College at the University of South Carolina. The CFO oversees financial planning, risk management, cash flow, accounting, and reporting, serving as a strategic financial partner to the Chancellor and driving the college’s fiscal health and long-term financial success. Responsibilities
Provide sound, ethical, and transparent fiscal planning, finance management, and budgetary processes to ensure long-term financial viability of Palmetto College and to support five campuses. Develop a long-term business plan and financial forecasts in support of the college’s revenue and expenditure guidelines; prepare and submit the budget to the university system. Manage the college-wide budgeting process to reflect the mission, vision, and strategic direction, and monitor performance against the budget. Plan, direct, implement, and oversee Palmetto College fiscal operations; provide leadership for campus compliance with relevant state and federal laws; work with the Chancellor and campus deans to resolve financial, compliance, infrastructure, and organizational matters; review and update Finance policies for alignment with the university system. Review contracts before submission to the Chancellor and coordinate with the Office of the General Counsel for review and approval. Represent Palmetto College on state, local, and University system committees as required; perform other duties as assigned by the Chancellor. Essential Information

Job Related Minimum Education and Experience: Requires a bachelor’s degree in a job-related field and at least 12 years of job-related experience, including some prior management experience. Typically reports to a VP. Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree in business or public administration preferred; Five (5) years or more of Anaplan experience. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Highly developed finance and analytical capabilities; extensive knowledge of financial and business practices. Proven leadership in finance analysis and reporting, fiscal accountability, policy development, and long-range budget planning. Knowledge of state and federal laws applicable to public entities; understanding of GAAP, GAAS, GASB, and FASB. Ability to lead and manage change; strong teamwork and communication skills; detail-oriented with excellent analytical reasoning and problem-solving abilities. Job Duties and Functions
