Conifer Health Solutions The VP, AR Operations serves as the AR leader for a specific client. This role is accountable for the client’s overall performance against SLAs and continued performance improvement against critical operational metrics while ensuring compliance to the allocated budget. Responsibilities

Develops strategy, objectives, goals, and performance metrics for AR Operations business units (Billing, AR Follow-up, Technical Denials, Payor Escalations, etc.) and ensures budget compliance for specific client. Partners with other operations leaders to align goals and ensure a connected revenue cycle exists from front-to-back Leads and manages sub-functions – Billing, AR Follow-up, Technical Denials, Customer Support, Cash Posting / Credit Balance, Payor Escalations, Terms & Conditions / Zero Balance, Strategy & Client Performance – to ensure client’s strategic objectives and performance metrics (PSLs, SLAs and OSLs) Strategizes with leadership and Conifer Client Executives to proactively assist in improved performance and problem avoidance, including deployment of necessary Conifer resources and comprehensive updates to leadership on service delivery risks Works collaboratively with Conifer Client Executives to provide value to customers through business/industry insight and innovation Responsible for auditing processes (including interfacing with primary contract owners and client’s internal auditing firm to review and validate SOX controls) Ensures seamless delivery of Conifer’s solutions and services; monitors and ensures projects meet process metrics and client satisfaction; oversees resolution of performance degradation issues Oversees client deliverables in partnership with internal and external stakeholders; develops and communicates action plans and provides ongoing updates to executive/C-suite; interacts with C-suite for large health systems (NPSR between $5-$15 billion) Oversees a fully resourced team responsible for performance improvement initiatives for specific low performing/complex markets (e.g., Detroit) Oversees management of new Change Control Notices for specified clients Identifies new technology, tools and key initiatives in AR Management to reduce cost or improve yield across the revenue cycle Financial Responsibility

Drives AR operations that support the collection of $5-$15 billion in cash across several hospitals of a major health system Manages client annual AR budget (e.g., $100M+ for Tenet) Supervisory Responsibilities

Understanding of systems and processes that impact revenue cycle performance Ability to build trusting relationships with Client Executives at all levels Analytical ability to identify trends in data Business acumen with emphasis on effective communication, negotiation, influencing decision makers, business planning, strategy, problem solving, decision making and time management Understanding of market trends and key pain points for hospital executives Intermediate MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Ability to act as a consultant and manage a team of consultants Advanced knowledge of Revenue Cycle, AR management, hospital financial accounting processes and systems Ability to coordinate multiple projects across varying constituents Strong presentation and communication skills for audiences from senior executives to frontline employees Knowledge of AR management technology tools and how they impact KPIs and cost/EBITA Extensive knowledge of revenue cycle metrics and drivers in billing and collections Knowledge of healthcare regulatory rules as they apply to revenue cycle operations and outsourcing Conifer requires its candidates, as applicable and as permitted by law, to obtain and provide confirmation of all required vaccinations and screenings prior to the start of employment. Demonstrated experience across the entire acute care hospital revenue cycle processes Executive-level experience leading in a matrixed environment Understanding of market trends and pain points for hospital executives Proven success in project management, change management, and delivering client solutions 4-year college degree in business administration, finance or health administration or equivalent experience 8–10 years of experience with strong knowledge of patient financial services, especially Inpatient and Outpatient Managed Care and Commercial payers Physical Demands

Must be able to sit and use a computer and answer a telephone Ability to travel Ability to move through hospital-based departments across campus, including Emergency Department environments Work Environment
