Lead Engineer - Systems Integration Engineering - Advanced Programs Execution role at Jobs via Dice. Location: Grand Rapids, MI (Onsite 3-4 days a week). GE Aerospace Defense and Systems seeks a Systems Integration Engineer to join the Advanced Programs Execution team. You will be part of a cross-functional team developing innovative solutions for capabilities on custom hardware, working on projects in cybersecurity, edge computing, sensing and signal processing. Location

Grand Rapids, MI (Onsite 3-4 days a week) Responsibilities

Systems Integration: Design, plan and execute integration activities of software and hardware to optimize performance, cost, quality and interoperability. Validation and Verification: Drive validation and verification planning for the overall product/system, including system-level testing according to industry standards (e.g. ARP4754). System Integration Lab (SIL) Design and Build: Develop models, simulations, and hardware interfaces used for testing systems against intended operational requirements. Risk Management: Proactively identify and mitigate technical risk to minimize project impact. Technical Expertise: Demonstrate cross-domain expertise to drive analytical integration and verification of a holistic mission-focused architectural solution. Best Practices: Develop and implement LEAN practices to accelerate operations and differentiate the program. Problem-Solving: Propose alternative solutions to address complex problems. Decision-Making: Make informed decisions using internal and external inputs. Mentorship: Act as a resource and mentor for less experienced colleagues. Team Alignment: Foster consensus among team members on technical topics. Communication: Report technical status to senior leadership. Bids & Proposals: Respond to RFIs/RFPs with resource cost estimates and technical approaches. Strategy Deployment: Support development of product and technical roadmaps. Customer Engagement: Collaborate with the Program Manager and Engineering Project Manager with the customer throughout the project. Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related STEM field from an accredited university. 5+ years of systems engineering project execution experience. Eligibility

Active or recently inactive US security clearance GE will require proof of status prior to employment. Desired Qualifications

Experience working on military programs Experience with high design assurance embedded systems, preferably in defense, safety-critical automotive, aerospace or healthcare Hands-on capability with test equipment, data bus capturing tools, scripting languages (Python, C, C#), and data analysis in Excel Strong problem-solving, cybersecurity knowledge, and awareness of aerospace standards and regulations (e.g., DO-178, DO-254) Systems plan development experience (e.g., ARP4754) and basic project management concepts Master's degree in engineering from an accredited university Strong communication and interpersonal leadership skills; experience leading and coordinating with internal and external partners Experience with global cross-functional teams; mentoring mindset This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.
