Lead Engineer - Systems Integration Engineering - Advanced Programs Execution at GE Aerospace. Location: Grand Rapids, MI. You will be part of a cross-functional team that develops innovative solutions for capabilities on custom hardware, with focus in cybersecurity, edge computing, sensing and signal processing. GE Aerospace is a leader in inventing the future of flight. This role requires a U.S. citizen with an active (or recently active) U.S. Government Security Clearance. The position is onsite in Grand Rapids, MI with relocation consideration for eligible candidates. Responsibilities

Systems Integration: Design, plan and execute integration activities of software and hardware to optimize performance, cost, quality and interoperability. Validation and Verification: Lead validation and verification planning for the overall product/system, including system-level testing per industry standards such as ARP4754. SIL Design and Build: Develop models, simulations, and hardware interfaces for testing systems against intended requirements with cross-functional teams. Risk Management: Identify and mitigate technical risks to minimize project impact. Technical Leadership: Provide expertise across multiple domains to drive analytical integration and verification of a holistic mission-focused architecture. Best Practices: Develop and accelerate LEAN operations and market differentiators. Problem-Solving: Propose alternative solutions for complex problems; support decision-making with internal and external sources. Mentorship and Team Collaboration: Mentor less experienced colleagues and help the team reach consensus on technical topics. Communication: Report technical status to senior leadership; collaborate with Program Manager and Engineering Project Manager to engage with customers. Bids & Proposals: Respond to RFIs/RFPs with resource estimates and technical approaches. Strategy Deployment: Support product and technical roadmaps; contribute to customer engagement throughout the project. Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related STEM field from an accredited university. 5+ years of systems engineering project execution experience. 5+ years of product development experience. Eligibility Requirements

US Citizen: This role requires use of technical data subject to U.S. Government contract restrictions; GE will require proof of status prior to employment. Active (or active within past 24 months) U.S. Government Security Clearance; prerequisite for a security clearance is U.S. citizenship. Desired Qualifications

Experience on military programs and with high design assurance embedded systems (defense, safety-critical automotive, aerospace or healthcare). Hands-on capability with test equipment, data capture tools, scripting languages (Python, C, C#), source code (Assembly) and data manipulation (e.g., Excel). Knowledge of cybersecurity technologies; familiarity with NSA certification processes; awareness of DO-178/DO-254; ARP4754 systems planning. Systems planning, basic project management concepts, strong communication, leadership, and collaboration skills. Master’s degree in engineering; experience leading with global cross-functional teams; mentorship orientation. Compensation and Benefits

The base pay range for this position is $90,800.00 - $121,100.00, with eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus. Relocation assistance available for eligible candidates.
