Primary Purpose Develops and/or leads teams in studies, plans, criteria, specifications, calculations, evaluations, design documents, performance assessments, integrated systems analysis, cost estimates, budgets, associated with the planning, design, licensing, construction, commissioning, operation, and maintenance of Exelon\'s electric transmission facilities/systems. Provides consultation and recommendations to the Company and other business units or customers based on studies of company or customer-owned systems, processes, equipment, vehicles or facilities. Reviews financial data from budgets and actual costs of projects. Provides technical expertise to strategic, legislative and operational decisions. Participates in creating, updating and applying internal/industry standards and technology in a specialized area. Trains and mentors others.
Position may require extended hours for coverage during storms or other energy delivery emergencies.
This is a hybrid position (in-office with remote flexibility). Employees are required to be in office at least three days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday). The position must sit out of our Kennett Square, PA; Philadelphia, PA; Baltimore, MD; or Washington, DC offices. This position is eligible for relocation assistance.
Primary Duties
Leads and performs assignments in specialized areas requiring extensive engineering expertise, maintaining state-of-the-art credentials in the specialized technical area.
Leads and performs engineering tasks and projects that may be complex, including field testing, troubleshooting and peer review.
Evaluates, develops, implements and leads projects with significant financial and operational impact; may include initial commissioning plans. Plans, writes and executes documentation deliverables and projects.
Participates in department planning, field/site walkdowns, meetings, budget recommendations and performance monitoring for committed results.
Performs assignments independently; may lead multi-discipline teams and may oversee contractors.
Provides expert guidance in a specialized area; may serve as an expert witness or provide expert opinions as required.
Provides recommendations to management and implements action plans to improve performance and cost effectiveness.
Provides detailed technical training, mentorship, peer review, and/or guidance to others.
Participates in technical and industry societies to stay current on new technologies and to make recommendations for strategic technology decisions.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Licensed Professional Engineer; knowledge of engineering design principles and practices.
Ability to analyze and interpret complex electrical and mechanical systems.
Knowledge and ability to apply problem-solving approaches and engineering theory.
Detailed knowledge of applicable standards, codes, methods, and practices related to the area of expertise.
7+ years of professional engineering experience; thorough knowledge in unique areas of engineering expertise.
Ability to apply advanced engineering principles to identify and resolve complex issues.
Minimum of three related career experiences or equivalent qualifications (e.g., lead member of a recognized industry committee, or Professional Engineer license with advanced degree or PM/MBAs).

Preferred Qualifications
Graduate degree or graduate-level work in Engineering, Business Administration or Project Management Certification.
Licensed Professional Engineer.
Strong teamwork, interpersonal and cross-level communication skills.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Working knowledge of analysis software such as CYMDIST, PSS/E, Python, PSCAD, MATLAB, etc.
Ability to analyze industry-wide trends and implement enhancements.

Annual salary varies: $100,800.00/yr – $138,600.00/yr.
