The Vice President of VMS Fulfillment is responsible for leading strategic planning, driving revenue, building high-performing teams and transforming operations for our VMS division. As Vice President of VMS Fulfillment, you’ll be at the forefront of our VMS growth engine—leading client strategy, optimizing MSP partnerships and account management, and scaling recruitment sourcing and fulfillment operations that deliver measurable impact. This role requires a visionary leader with a deep understanding of high-volume recruiting models and how to optimize vendor ecosystems with a focus on VMS best practices, operational excellence, and strategic growth initiatives. The VP will work collaboratively across all sales divisions, dedicated recruiters, and account managers to drive innovation, improve operational performance, and support long-term business success. Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Business Growth:
Develop and implement VMS strategies aligned with corporate objectives to optimize sourcing, fulfillment, and recruitment processes. Strategic Planning:
Lead short- and long-term strategic planning to enhance operational efficiency and expand business opportunities. Growth & Market Insight:
Identify and capitalize on emerging market trends, competitive landscapes, and technological advancements to ensure sustainable growth. Account & Client Management:
Direct account management efforts to ensure seamless client interactions and satisfaction, serving as the executive point of contact for vendor management system clients. Oversee performance metrics and service level agreements to maintain high standards of fulfillment and support. Leverage existing relationships and alliances to expand service offerings and improve market positioning. Design and implement sales and business development initiatives to drive revenue growth and increase market share within the vendor management sector. Analyze financial data, assess pricing strategies, and optimize profitability while ensuring cost-effective solutions. Develop and refine promotional strategies, ensuring competitive positioning and customer engagement. Process Optimization & Market Expansion:
Assess and refine VMS workflows to improve operational effectiveness and enhance scalability. Identify opportunities for new service offerings, strategic alliances, and innovative client solutions to meet evolving business needs. Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices to mitigate risks and enhance system integrity. Oversee the sourcing, selection, and management of vendor partnerships, ensuring high-quality recruitment fulfillment for clients. Foster strong relationships with vendors, third-party providers, and business partners to maximize collaboration and service excellence. Negotiate and structure agreements to optimize pricing, service delivery, and contract terms with vendor partners. Operational Excellence & Team Leadership:
Lead vendor management operations teams, ensuring alignment with business objectives and efficiency in service delivery. Establish performance standards, provide training and guidance, and mentor associates to drive excellence in execution. 10+ years of experience in healthcare staffing, vendor management, and/or recruitment operations. 5+ years of physician recruiting or locum tenens recruitment. MSP/VMS experience preferred. 5+ years of experience leading recruiting and sales teams, driving business development initiatives, and executing sales and recruiting strategies effectively. Proven track record in recruiting, account management or business development, including identifying growth opportunities, fostering client relationships, and achieving revenue targets.
