Senior Midstream Oil and Gas Accountant position with one of the largest midstream companies in Dallas. The ideal candidate will have experience working with allocations in a midstream oil and gas company setting. This position pays 90K-100K+Bonus and profit sharing and offers a flex time schedule. Responsibilities
Using spreadsheets and/or allocations software, prepare allocations of plant liquids production and residue back to the well head and at the tailgate of a plant. Using spreadsheets and/or allocations software, prepare sales invoices, purchase settlement statements and record entries into the general ledger for the purchase and sale of natural gas and liquid hydrocarbons. Prepare and invoice producers and shippers for various gathering, processing and treating fees; record entries for such in the general ledger. Answer producer questions, provide meter statements and settlement statements. Prepare monthly and periodic tax reports for filing and payment with various state and federal agencies. Analyze and explain monthly and seasonal fluctuations in volume and amounts as compared to prior months and budget. Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual internal and external financial statements and reporting packages. Follow up on payments and invoices to assure accurate and timely collection. Prepare, post and process prior period adjustments for payment and/or invoicing. Reconcile volumes and values from spreadsheets and allocations software to the general ledger. Balance the plant monthly to ensure all quantities and related values are properly captured and accounted for. Coordinate with plant personnel to understand (and explain, if necessary) plant operations and output. Coordinate with commercial sales and gas purchase personnel to understand and use product pricing and contract terms. Qualifications
