Overview Assistant Professor of Clinical Surgery (Hepatobiliary/Transplant Surgery Division)

The Division of Hepato-Biliary/Pancreatic Surgery and Abdominal Organ Transplantation in the Department of Surgery at Keck Medicine of the University of Southern California is inviting applicants for the position of Transplant Surgeon at the academic rank of Assistant Professor of Surgery. Based primarily at Keck Hospital of USC and Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles (CHLA), with possible support at satellite locations, including coverage of Hepatobiliary Surgery at LA County Hospital (LAC+USC).

Responsibilities

Provide clinical expertise in abdominal organ transplantation, particularly kidney and pancreas transplant and laparoscopic donor nephrectomies. Experience in split liver donor procurements is highly desired.

Provide clinical care management, teach fellows, collaborate in research, and participate in continuing education.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and contribute to program development at the primary and satellite sites as needed.

Qualifications

MD or DO degree.

Completed an ASTS-accredited Multi-organ Abdominal Transplantation fellowship.

Certified by the American Board of Surgery.

Eligible to work in the United States and eligible for licensure in California; current licensure preferred.

Compensation and About USC The annual base salary range for this position is $352,000-$375,000. Keck Medicine of USC is the University of Southern California’s medical enterprise.
