Job Purpose Account Representatives (AR) are an integral part of the Sales Team at Great Minds. This role will work closely with an Account Solution Manager to support in the growth of their assigned region to achieve new and existing business goals and help them craft a full solution. The AR will grow new business across their region while maintaining existing customers and guide them during their implementation journey and offer recommendations for professional development and coaching.

This role is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Account Representative to contribute to Great Minds’ organizational mission to create curriculum and resources that ensure all students have access to a quality education in the full range of liberal arts and sciences.

Responsibilities

Pre-sales work (e.g. setting appointments, qualifying leads, discovery calls, associated follow up, managing customer questions and concerns, sampling product, etc.)

Hunt for new business through outbound prospecting, including cold calls and email campaigns, to identify schools and districts interested in reviewing Great Minds curricula

Manage and respond to inbound leads in the sales territory

Sustain renewal business - existing customers to retain renewal of consumable and digital materials and as well achieve cross-sell and upsell goals

Negotiate and quote products for purchase

Execute add-on sales campaigns to existing customers

Develop positive, influential relationships with key stakeholders (Curriculum Directors, Coaches, Principals, and Superintendents) across territory.

Understand the general health of the clients’ implementation to refer training and implementation support when necessary

Create strong internal cross-company relationships with Product, Success, Marketing and Business Operations.

Present virtually via Zoom to prospective clients

Required Qualifications

3+ years of successful direct sales experience OR 3+ years experience in the education field with a strong ability to influence decision making.

Readiness to make outbound phone calls to schools and school systems

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Highly organized self-starter with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities

Capacity to present Great Minds materials to small and large audiences via Zoom

Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and proactive problem solving

Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Preferred Qualifications

Working knowledge of CRM like Salesforce

K12 classroom teaching, PD, and/or sales experience a plus

Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Academic and growth mindset

Commitment to high standards

Required Education Bachelor’s degree in education, business, marketing, or liberal arts preferred (or equivalent business experience)

Physical Requirements

Periodically lifting, reaching, and moving product up to 40 lbs.

Must be able to travel up to 10% of the time through a combination of domestic air travel and driving a car, including overnight stays.

The expected base salary range for this position is $44,100-$53,000, however, the offered salary may be higher or lower than the above range dependent on numerous factors including, but not limited to location, work experience, skills and internal equity considerations. The base salary is not inclusive of benefits or other incentives.
