Overview
Bring your experience and ideas and help us develop and integrate software for the MV-75 FLRAA program. You will be responsible for aircraft level software integration to include development schedules, supplier coordination, data artifact management, aircraft software integration plans, software release documentation, and customer collaboration. This manager position will establish and lead a group to manage the software deliverables and ensure coordination and compliance with contract requirements. Your team will collaborate with internal software development teams, software suppliers, software safety, cyber, Technical Fellows (TFs), and subsystem design Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to successfully deliver software to satisfy program schedule. This role is located on site in Bell Fort Worth, TX headquarters with occasional travel as required per business needs. What You’ll Be Doing as the Aircraft Software Integration Manager
Create and manage a team of Software and Project Engineers to meet program goals and schedule. Plan your team’s detailed tasks and estimate the budget to execute the program schedule. Responsible for the program Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) for software development, integration, and delivery to the MV-75 aircraft. Coordinate with design IPTs and suppliers to produce software Contract Data Requirements List deliverables per the IMS. Support the review of software Supplier Data Requirements List (SDRLs) submittals for design IPTs. Manage weapon system level software development plans which define the process for inclusion of cyber and safety objectives with DO-178C, joint participation with the USG customer, and aircraft software documentation and installation on the MV-75 aircraft. Own all software metrics and progress tracking for program status reviews. Lead the software development working group with the USG customer to coordinate deliverables, software Critical Design Reviews (CDRs), software Test Readiness Reviews (TRRs), test witnessing, and management of program software risks. Software configuration management experience. Management and leadership skills specific to leading teams to meet established goals and objectives. Organization, coordination, and collaboration skills to plan and manage programmatic objectives. Clear and effective communication at all levels within an organization. Civil certification or military qualification experience is desired. What You Need To Be Successful
Bachelor’s Degree in Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science is required. Mechanical or other related degrees may be considered with applicable experience. Must be able to gain and maintain a US Govt Secret Security Clearance. At least 5 years aircraft engineering experience developing software including software integration for aircraft. 2 years of management in software development is preferred. Knowledge of DO-178C process demonstrated through execution developing airborne software. Understanding of certification of airborne system/software processes (DO-178C, DO-297, DO-326, DO-254, and ARP 4754A) is desired. DO-178C DAL A development experience preferred.
