Overview
An exam proctor oversees students who take required exams to help ensure academic integrity. They monitor that students do not breach exam protocol, including ensuring proper computer/software usage, clear communication of test instructions, allowing only water during exams, managing bathroom breaks, and accurately exiting the exam when completed. Responsibilities
Ensure exams are taken on the appropriate computer with proper software. Convey test instructions clearly to students. Ensure that only water is allowed with students during exams. Follow proper procedures for bathroom breaks and for exiting the exam when completed. Maintain and uphold NBME National testing standards and Examsoft protocol; manage times and dates for proctoring. Be resourceful and technically astute to troubleshoot computer issues as needed. Qualifications
Education and Experience — Required: High school diploma/GED or equivalent combination of education and experience. Job Competencies — Resourceful and technically adept to troubleshoot computer issues; computer knowledge; effective communicator; professionalism as a positive ambassador to the Warren Alpert Medical School; calm, relaxed demeanor with anxious students; psychologically and emotionally mature; highly responsible for security and compliance with testing standards; able to manage scheduling and rescheduling when needed; flexible in response to student needs.
