Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager 6 – Food & Nutrition Services to lead daily operations at our facility, in Washington, DC. This senior leadership role oversees all aspects of Food & Nutrition operations, including patient meal services, retail dining, doctors’ lounge, and catering. The ideal candidate will bring a strong focus on nursing collaboration, patient experience, regulatory compliance, and team development while driving operational excellence and financial performance. Responsibilities

Provide overall leadership and oversight for Food & Nutrition Services, ensuring high-quality service delivery across patient dining, retail, and catering operations. Lead and mentor department managers, supervisors, and staff to promote engagement, accountability, and continuous improvement. Partner with hospital leadership and nursing teams to enhance patient satisfaction and experience. Ensure regulatory and food safety compliance with all applicable standards (including DC-specific requirements). Develop and execute operational strategies that meet Sodexo’s standards for quality, safety, and financial goals. Monitor and manage departmental budgets, drive cost efficiencies, and ensure alignment with financial targets. Foster a positive work environment that promotes collaboration, staff development, and innovation. Strengthen client relationships by delivering strategic insights, process improvements, and measurable outcomes. Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience. 5+ years of management experience in Food & Nutrition leadership within a healthcare environment. Proven track record in staff development, engagement, and team performance management. Strong understanding of regulatory compliance and food safety standards in the District of Columbia. Demonstrated ability to collaborate with nursing and clinical teams to drive patient experience. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Strong financial acumen with proven ability to achieve revenue and cost goals. Benefits
