Position:
Vice President of Finance (VP Finance) or Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Compensation:
$195,000 - $250,000 Base + Bonus + Equity
Location:
Santa Monica, CA (1 day onsite per week) - Open to 100% remote

A high-growth consumer products brand based in Santa Monica is seeking a
Vice President of Finance OR Chief Financial Officer
to lead the company’s financial strategy, planning, and operations. Founded by a well-known actress, the brand has quickly gained traction across retail and e-commerce channels, blending strong creative vision with a performance-driven mindset.
The VP of Finance/CFO will serve as a key strategic partner to the CEO and executive team, responsible for building a world-class finance organization that supports scale, profitability, and long-term growth.
Key Responsibilities
Lead all financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes to guide strategic decision-making
Own P&L management and provide actionable insights to leadership, investors, and the Board
Develop and maintain financial models to support revenue growth, margin optimization, and cash flow management
Oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, and internal controls in collaboration with the Controller
Partner with operations, marketing, and supply chain teams to align financial goals with business objectives
Manage relationships with investors, auditors, and external stakeholders
Support strategic initiatives including fundraising, M&A, and international expansion
Evaluate and implement systems, tools, and processes to improve visibility and efficiency across the finance function
Build and mentor a high-performing team as the organization continues to scale
Qualifications
10–15+ years of progressive finance experience, including leadership roles in FP&A, controllership, or strategic finance
Proven track record in consumer products or omni-channel businesses (retail + e-commerce)
Strong understanding of CPG unit economics, inventory management, and gross margin optimization
Experience in PE-backed or founder-led growth environments strongly preferred
CPA and/or MBA a plus but not required
Exceptional financial modeling and analytical skills, with a strong strategic mindset
Confident communicator and business partner with executive presence and emotional intelligence
Additional Notes
Hybrid role based in Santa Monica (1 day onsite per week)
Compensation includes base salary up to $250K + bonus + equity
