# Senior Tax AssociateSenior Tax AssociateSalary$Up to US$110000 per annumLocationNew York, NY, USAContractPermanentIndustryAccountancy---ContactJordon BennettJordon.Bennett@oliverjames.com## We are currently working with a Partner owned CPA firm who are actively searching for a Senior Tax Associate to be a key leader within tax division, being a key support to clients and mentoring junior staff.#### **Key Responsibilities*** **Tax Compliance:**
+ Prepare and review complex federal, state, and local income tax returns for individuals, corporations, and partnerships.
+ Ensure timely and accurate filing in compliance with current tax laws and regulations.
+ Research and resolve complex tax issues while ensuring proper documentation and audit support.* **Client Management:**
+ Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, serving as a trusted advisor on tax matters.
+ Communicate effectively with clients to gather information, provide updates, and deliver tax planning insights.
+ Identify opportunities to provide additional services that add value to the client relationship.* **Tax Planning & Advisory:**
+ Assist in developing and implementing tax planning strategies to minimize liabilities and maximize efficiency.
+ Stay up to date with new tax legislation and regulatory changes, assessing potential impacts on clients.
+ Support clients with IRS and state tax audits, correspondence, and inquiries.* **Review & Quality Control:**
+ Review work prepared by staff-level associates for accuracy and completeness.
+ Provide coaching, feedback, and mentorship to junior team members.
+ Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and compliance across tax engagements.* **Collaboration & Development:**
+ Work closely with Tax Managers and Partners on large-scale and high-profile engagements.
+ Participate in professional development activities to expand technical knowledge and leadership skills.
