$110,000.00/yr - $110,000.00/yr Responsibilities
We are currently working with a Partner owned CPA firm who are actively searching for a Senior Tax Associate to be a key leader within tax division, being a key support to clients and mentoring junior staff. Tax Compliance:
Prepare and review complex federal, state, and local income tax returns for individuals, corporations, and partnerships. Ensure timely and accurate filing in compliance with current tax laws and regulations. Research and resolve complex tax issues while ensuring proper documentation and audit support.
Client Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, serving as a trusted advisor on tax matters. Communicate effectively with clients to gather information, provide updates, and deliver tax planning insights. Identify opportunities to provide additional services that add value to the client relationship. Assist in developing and implementing tax planning strategies to minimize liabilities and maximize efficiency. Stay up to date with new tax legislation and regulatory changes, assessing potential impacts on clients. Support clients with IRS and state tax audits, correspondence, and inquiries.
Review & Quality Control:
Review work prepared by staff-level associates for accuracy and completeness. Provide coaching, feedback, and mentorship to junior team members. Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and compliance across tax engagements.
Collaboration & Development:
Work closely with Tax Managers and Partners on large-scale and high-profile engagements. Participate in professional development activities to expand technical knowledge and leadership skills. Contribute to a positive, team-oriented work environment that fosters collaboration and excellence.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; Master's in Taxation preferred. CPA license or active progress toward certification strongly preferred. 3-6 years of progressive public accounting tax experience. Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations. Experience with tax preparation and research software (e.g., GoSystem, CCH Axcess, ProSystem fx, or similar). Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook). Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills. Strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical abilities. Benefits
