Materials Delivery Driver - CDL A

Viaero Fiber Networks is seeking a self-motivated Materials Delivery Driver who is responsible for delivering, loading, and unloading materials at project sites. The Driver will also be assisting with the keeping track of inventory located in the staging yards along with yard cleanup as needed throughout the project. Drivers will assist network construction crews when there are no deliveries. This position is not an 8-5 position and will require some long hours due to the locations of the projects. FLAT-BED and equipment hauling experience is required.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Communicating with the office and vendors to coordinate deliveries Must do a pre-trip and post-trip of all equipment used during the shift. Keeping track of all inventories being unloaded at staging yards scanning and upload BOL back to the office. Loading inventory from warehouse and deliver to project locations via box truck, pickup or semi and trailer. Loading and unloading various materials including Fiber Optic cable reels, Conduit, vaults as well as empty return conduit reels. Operating equipment which can include box truck with donkey, dually pickup and gooseneck, semi and drop deck flat bed, excavator for loading purposes with transferring equipment between sites, skid steer, and 12k telehandler. Assisting in clean-up of sites, including transporting various parts and materials back to the warehouse or project sites. Tracking project material and cycle counts. Keeping all delivery vehicles clean and up to date on maintenance. Performing other duties as assigned by supervisor or other members of management. Qualifications include :
Must have a CDL with at least 5 years' experience without incidents and previous operation of a Semi and a 1-Ton dually pickup for transporting trailers with materials and or equipment. Must pass a DOT Physical. Knowledge of truck loading techniques and arrangement of load distribution within a truck or trailer per DOT regulation, and knowledge of how to properly tie-down loads. Must have a clean driving record (MVR) and must have the ability to pass pre-employment checks, which include a criminal background check, motor vehicle record check, and substance screening, following federal law. Must be able to run and operate Telehandlers, Donkeys, and Forklifts. Must be comfortable hauling loads that are just over regular DOT limits and require an oversized load permit. Construction and/or heavy equipment operation experience is helpful. Willingness to be a team player with a can-do attitude that promotes a safe working environment. Must be able to use GPS for efficiently locating sites. Basic computer knowledge for tracking inventory. MS Word, Excel, Outlook Ability to lift 100 lbs. Ability to work outside in all elements; including but not limited to snow, rain, mud, wind, and extreme temperatures. Ability to work long hours during construction season occasionally some overnight stay. Ability to perform a variety of labor-intensive tasks. (Breaking down empty conduit reels and stacking them in a pile to be returned to vendor)
