Perioperative SCM Operations Coordinator

As a Perioperative SCM Operations Coordinator, you'll play a vital role in supporting the OR, IR, and Cath Lab teams-making this an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Responsibilities:
Manage walk-in inventory from vendor reps and ensure accurate tracking.
Maintain consignment levels with vendors to support surgical cases and reduce owned inventory.
Adjust par levels to meet service needs while minimizing overstock.
Reallocate excess or slow-moving items to other UPMC sites to reduce waste.
Receive and document high-value products in the inventory system.
Use Excel for inventory tracking; Access knowledge is a plus.
Set up and label stock/non-stock items with correct storage and traceability.
Monitor expiration dates monthly and redistribute items as needed.
Perform cycle counts and resolve inventory discrepancies.
Respond to urgent clinical supply needs and support cost-saving and standardization efforts.
Schedule: This position will work Monday-Friday, 7AM-3:30PM. It will mainly work in the Operating Room (and working closely with the Surgeons) and cover Interventional Radiology and Cardiac Cath Lab.
Qualifications:
High school diploma and 2 years of related experience Or Bachelor's degree
Previous inventory control experience
Strong organizational skills
Strong communication skills
Experience managing medical product inventories preferred
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
