SCM Clinical Inventory Specialist- Surgical Material Management at Health First. Role involves providing logistic services to the Operating Room / Cath Lab and distributing medical supplies and equipment to supported customer areas in a timely manner. Responsibilities include shipments, receiving, distribution, inventory and materials management, monitoring inventory levels, managing PAR levels, and maintaining organized storerooms. Role requires collaboration with vendors or distribution partners to ensure product availability and responding to special requests. Duties extend to all areas of the hospital beyond the supply room. Responsibilities

Maintain high level of accuracy in designated supply carts and inventory locations to ensure materials are placed in proper locations with correct quantities, applying first in/first out (FIFO) principles and appropriate ordering processes (Bill Only\u2019s). Ensure cycle count methods are used to comply with quality control guidelines. Inventory and manage replenishment of various assigned supply carts located throughout the Operating Room and/or Cath Lab in accordance with established cycles pertaining to usage. Communicate with respective parties on a timely basis about all open issues and the status of all open orders; remove expired products promptly. Conduct daily review of materials back ordered or exceeding delivery standards; coordinate critical back-order situations with the SCM Buyer or department for resolution. Lead and provide input in the assessment, rebuild, redesign of assigned inventory locations to ensure they are properly organized and labeled according to 7S principals (Sort, Store, Shine, Standardize, Sustain, Safety, Security). Receive supplies and equipment using MMIS and standard operating procedures; package, label, and ship items to alternate locations as needed. Work with the Operating Room, Sterile Processing and Cath Lab to review PAR locations quarterly and ensure inventory is continuously optimized and available. Collaborate with the Supply Chain Management team in the event of recalls, pulling relevant products and product conversions. Monitor product availability by rounding in procedural areas prior to case start times and/or restocking of supplies in procedural rooms and core supply areas. Represent SCM in surveillance of customer service satisfaction through face-to-face interactions and complaint management to improve logistics and materials management deficiencies in customer service and experience. Actively participate in the department\'s CQI activities pertaining to inventory management responsibilities. Support organization and departmental policies, programs, and procedures; adhere to established standards of courtesy. May require on-call rotation, weekend and hurricane coverage; assist other associates with tasks in the materials function and perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent. Work Experience: One (1) year of experience in inventory management or equivalent. Licensure: None Certification: None Skills/Knowledge/Abilities: Customer focused; effective written and verbal communication with all levels; basic mathematical calculations; basic computer skills including Microsoft Excel and Word; good working knowledge of the materials management department; ability to work independently within guidelines and accept supervision; plan and organize work; attention to detail and accuracy; teamwork; ability to make fact-based decisions in a fast-paced environment; proficiency with Microsoft Office and inventory management software. Preferred Qualifications

Education: Associate’s degree in Business. Work Experience: Inventory Management, implant familiarity, operating room supplies, inventory management, or purchasing. Skills/Knowledge/Abilities: Experience with PeopleSoft related to supply chain, inventory and material management; understanding of the purchasing cycle from order to stock reception and vendor returns. Physical Requirements

Physically agile; may require walking, standing, running, bending, stooping, kneeling, climbing, or crouching frequently. May occasionally lift or move objects up to 50 pounds, with or without assistance. May require movement in various positions and environments including tight and confined spaces; reaching overhead. May lift, turn, pull, push, or ambulate people and/or equipment up to 90% of the shift. Exposure to indoor/outdoor environments with varied temperatures, air quality, lighting, and noise levels. May require handling biohazards such as blood/body fluids and airborne particles following OSHA and CDC guidelines. Travel to facilities within and beyond county perimeter; may require use of a personal vehicle. About Health First
