Job Summary & Responsibilities Performs a variety of standardized laboratory tests on biological specimens, including advanced and specialized techniques, in compliance with all regulations of the laboratory’s accrediting agencies. Utilizes safe and standard techniques while working as a critical member of the laboratory team and exhibiting superior customer service. Achieves professional goals set during the previous evaluation period. Demonstrates accountability in knowledge of and compliance with all Standard Operating Procedures. Demonstrates competency in performance of department procedures. Applies problem‑solving skills to abnormal results. Performs quality assurance and quality control activities. Manages fiscal responsibility for property, equipment & supplies. Initiates improvements and contributes to professional growth and development. Participates in departmental performance improvement, monitors, and quality assurance activities. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree required. Prefer MT (ASCP) certified or MT (AMT) certified. Required – Completion of a laboratory clinical rotation and two years hospital experience as an MT, or a minimum of four years hospital experience if MLT. Preferred – One year laboratory experience in a hospital environment performing/supervising point‑of‑care testing or quality‑assurance procedures. The facility includes a 24‑hour emergency department with Level II Trauma capabilities.
