SUMMARY:
The Managing Partner (MP) at one of our clients – a growing, full‑service, established CPA firm in Nassau County, LI – is hiring an Audit & Tax Senior to support the firm’s client activity and be well positioned for expected future growth. Many of the firm’s clients are small to mid‑size Construction and Real Estate companies in the NY tri‑state area that generally pay very well. It is not required to have experience in these industries, but it is a plus.
The salary is up to approximately $125k, depending on experience, education and credentials. The firm recently promoted an employee to partner with 10 years of experience, and the firm will need to promote new partners over the next 2‑8 years to keep pace with client demand and growth and for employee retention.
The IDEAL candidate will have a 2‑5 year mix of experience performing financial statement audits & reviews, and preparing Personal, Partnership, and Corporate tax returns at small to mid‑tier CPA firms. The MP is open to candidates with experience in either audits & reviews or tax compliance, as the firm will train you in one or the other. A great opportunity to gain additional hands‑on experience, and to possibly expand your knowledge base, skills and experience for a future partner opportunity at this firm or for a wider variety of more favorable opportunities in private industry!

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform diverse financial statement audits & reviews for the firm’s commercial clients, prepare Personal, Partnership, and Corporate tax compliance, and provide some advisory services. The work is performed on site at the firm’s Nassau County office or occasionally at client locations based mostly on Long Island.
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
2‑5 years of public accounting firm experience at a small to mid‑tier CPA firm in either Audit & Review or Tax Compliance; experience with both is a plus but not required
Ability to work overtime as needed, particularly during Q1 tax season
Ability to commute to the firm’s LI office and work on site full‑time
When necessary, ability to occasionally work at client locations typically located on LI
