Overview
Seasonal Tax Professional position with H&R Block. You will serve clients with diverse tax needs with the support of an expert team and receive advanced tax training. Responsibilities
Inspire clients to make confident, informed decisions about their lives, careers, and money and build client relationships that grow stronger over time. Serve clients with diverse tax needs, conducting tax interviews (in person and via virtual tools) and preparing complete and accurate tax returns. Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services. Provide clients with IRS support when needed. Mentor and support teammates. Deliver tax notice services (all certification levels) and audit representation (Circular 230 associates). What you’ll bring to the team
Conduct tax interviews with clients face to face and through virtual tools — video, phone, chat, email. Prepare complete and accurate tax returns. Experience with tax planning and audit support. Experience completing returns for individuals, trusts, and partnerships. 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping, or tax. Experience with virtual tax interviews. Sales and/or marketing experience. Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field. CPA or Enrolled Agent certification. Experience with complex returns (individual, trust, partnership). Enrollment in or completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course or Tax Knowledge Assessment (not a guarantee of employment). High school diploma or equivalent or higher. Ability to effectively communicate in person, via phone, and in writing. Comfort working with virtual tools (video, phone, chat). Must complete continuing education requirements and meet IRS and applicable state requirements. Your Expertise
Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment. Experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping, or tax. Experience completing individual returns. Experience working in a fast-paced environment. Ability to perform tax-related tasks with accuracy and attention to detail. Strong communication skills. Seniority level
