Position Summary Responsible for assisting in all aspects of the fund management of cross asset credit offerings on the Carlyle Direct Lending platform (CDL), which operates within the broader Carlyle Global Credit segment. This position will involve a broad range of responsibilities, summarized below:

Review of fund accounting records, financial statements, partners' capital account statements, and capital calls/distribution allocation files prepared by the Third Party Administrator (TPA).

Coordinate with auditors and understand/explain financial concepts and team processes.

Data analysis needed for Carlyle's corporate accounting team (including Economic Net Income models, budget, AUM, etc.).

Work with deal team, legal/tax counsel, and credit operations to plan and execute deal closings and assist with deal structure setup with legal and tax.

During fundraising, assist with analysis for marketing materials, due diligence questionnaire responses, and evaluation of side-letter arrangements and fund closing processes.

Prepare responses to investor correspondence, inquiries, and requests.

Assist with Fund treasury functionality and deal pipeline management.

Other ad-hoc projects as needed.

This position requires strong accounting and finance experience, working knowledge of the credit investment universe, sound organizational and analytical skills, and the ability to build rapport with Carlyle investors, service providers and various constituents. Ability to work and communicate effectively across management levels is required.

Primary Responsibilities

Finance and Operations (25% of time)

Work alongside Operations to ensure proper and timely execution of investments and vendor obligations

Assist with recognition and accrual of interest and expense booked by the TPA

Calculate and review performance metrics

Prepare reports for investors (e.g., Quarterly Update Presentations)

Assist with subscription and asset-based credit facility provider management

Fund modelling and expense budgeting

Prepare capital activity calculations including pro forma analysis for future decisions

Improve processes to enhance fund efficiency, accuracy, and functionality

Accounting and Reporting (40% of time)

Detailed review of NAVs based on data from the TPA, including related support for balance sheet and income statement accounts

Coordinate and review credit facility reporting and compliance

Detailed review of accrued carry/incentive calculations from the TPA

Detailed review of capital allocations and capital statements prepared by the TPA

Preparation and review of financial statements

Coordinate interim and year-end audit requests and questions

End of Period SOI reporting

Assist with onboarding of an internal accounting book of record

Transactions and fund activities management (25% of time)

Coordinate with Investor Relations, Legal Counsel, and Portfolio Management for investor closes

Manage the fund's capital needs in coordination with Portfolio Management

Work with TPA to produce and issue capital activity notices

Review quarterly performance data and assist with distributions

Oversee a team of consultants assisting with recurring deliverables

Investor Requests (10% of time)

Interact with investors and produce ad hoc analyses

Requirements Education & Certificates

Concentration in Finance, Economics, or Accounting, preferred

CPA or progress towards CPA is a plus

Professional Experience

2-5 years of relevant experience, required

Related industry experience, preferred

Big 4 accounting firm background is a plus

Knowledge of the credit investment universe (including CLOs, Term Loans, Revolvers)

Highly motivated individual with strong interpersonal and organizational skills

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple responsibilities under deadlines

Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel

Knowledge of Alteryx and Microsoft Power Platform is a plus

Benefits/Compensation The compensation range for this role is specific to New York and reflects factors including skills, experience, licenses and certifications.

The anticipated base salary range for this role is $90,000 to $120,000.
