Reports To: Director of Special Education / Student Services

Job Summary We are seeking a qualified and compassionate

Remote School Psychologist

to provide comprehensive psychological services to K12 students in New Mexico. This fully remote role involves conducting evaluations, supporting IEP development, collaborating with school teams, and helping students succeed academically, socially, and emotionally. Candidates must hold licensure as a School Psychologist in the state of

New Mexico .

Key Responsibilities

Conduct psychoeducational assessments and evaluations via secure virtual platforms.

Interpret assessment results and provide written reports aligned with state and district guidelines.

Participate in multidisciplinary teams for IEP eligibility determination and service planning.

Support the development and implementation of IEPs and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs).

Provide individual or group counseling, as needed, to address social-emotional and behavioral concerns.

Consult with educators, parents, and administrators to address students learning and behavioral needs.

Promote a positive school climate and support interventions that foster academic and emotional success.

Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with IDEA, FERPA, and state special education laws.

Qualifications

Residency: Must reside in the U.S. and be eligible to work remotely.

Licensure:

Valid New Mexico School Psychologist license (issued by NMPED).

National Certification (NCSP) is a plus but not required.

Education:

Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field from a NASP-accredited program.

Experience:

Minimum of 12 years of experience in a K12 setting (teletherapy or remote work experience preferred).

Familiarity with special education eligibility categories, IEPs, and MTSS/RTI processes.

Skills & Competencies

Proficient with digital assessment tools and virtual platforms (e.g., Q-interactive, Zoom, Google Workspace).

Strong communication, report-writing, and collaboration skills.

Ability to work independently and manage a remote caseload effectively.

Cultural competence and sensitivity to diverse student populations.

Technology Requirements

Reliable high-speed internet and secure work environment.

Familiarity with HIPAA- and FERPA-compliant platforms.

Access to appropriate digital assessment tools (provided by employer, if applicable).

Work Environment & Schedule

100% remote position serving students in New Mexico.

Schedule follows the academic calendar of the assigned school district(s).

Flexibility may be available depending on district needs and time zones.
