Overview
A K-12 school in Palisade, CO seeks a licensed School Psychologist to support students across elementary through high school levels. This contract position spans the school year and offers an opportunity to apply specialized skills to enhance academic, behavioral, and social-emotional outcomes in a collaborative educational environment. Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations assessing cognitive, academic, emotional, and behavioral functioning. Participate in Eligibility Determination and Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings in alignment with state and federal regulations. Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to develop and implement evidence-based academic and behavioral interventions. Provide short-term individual and group counseling and crisis support for students. Serve as an active member of Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) and Response to Intervention (RTI) teams. Assist with Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and develop Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs). Support initiatives related to social-emotional learning (SEL), trauma-informed practices, and school safety. Maintain confidential records and complete reports promptly and accurately. Uphold ethical standards as established by the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP). Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Masters or Specialist-level degree (Ed.S., Psy.S., or equivalent) in School Psychology from a regionally accredited institution. Eligibility for or possession of a Colorado Department of Education Special Services License with a School Psychology endorsement. Proficient knowledge of IDEA, Section 504, FERPA, and related laws and regulations. Strong assessment, consultation, collaboration, and culturally responsive practice skills. Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a K12 public school setting. Familiarity with Infinite Campus, ICAP, or similar data management systems. Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is advantageous. Compensation and Benefits
