Overview
Porter role at Services for the UnderServed (S:US). This position is located in Brooklyn, NY. Responsibilities
Maintain cleanliness of the facility and facility perimeter, including kitchens, offices, bathrooms, dorms, medical department, and common areas. Accept deliveries and stock items as instructed. Remove trash, snow, and other debris. Assist in moving and storing program supplies, office furniture, office equipment, dorm furniture, consumer belongings, and other items in and around the facility as needed. Wear and maintain the SUS maintenance uniform in a clean and presentable condition at the start of each shift. Attend staff meetings, group supervision, and trainings as needed. Work schedule may include some weekend and evening hours. Assist with apartment turnover following move-outs to prepare apartments for new families (where applicable). Conduct minor facility repairs and assist Maintenance staff with special projects. Ensure compliance with OSHA and FDNY regulations; comply with SUS policies and procedures. Be available in emergency situations and perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED preferred. At least two years of building maintenance experience in a large residential/institutional setting with a special needs population required. Good interpersonal skills. NYS Driver’s License preferred. Benefits
