Join to apply for the Program Coordinator Center for Professional Development role at Nassau BOCES. The Department of Curriculum, Instruction and Technology is seeking a Program Coordinator to support the Center for Professional Development program. The successful candidate will coordinate professional development opportunities offered through Nassau BOCES in partnership with Nassau BOCES staff and external professional developers. Responsibilities

Secure presenters for professional development programs and coordinate activities aligned with New York State Education Department (NYSED) mandates and best practices in delivery of instruction that positively impact student achievement. Plan and publicize regional workshops, conferences, and collegial circles. Supervise clerical staff, evaluate consultants, and maintain the professional development activities budget. Collaborate with colleagues regarding the delivery of programs and services. Participate in local and statewide professional organizations. Assist with the development of new initiatives and other activities as needed. Requirements

NYSED Certification: School District Leader (SDL) or School District Administrator (SDA). Three or more years of teaching experience with NYSED Teacher Certification. Successful experience in designing and conducting professional development for teachers and administrators as well as knowledge of current NYS Learning Standards and NYSED regulations. Excellent managerial, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Self-directed, organized and collaborative. Ability to travel. Salary
